At Legacy, we believe God has commanded us, as believers, to be baptized by immersion as a proclamation of our faith in Jesus Christ. During baptism, a person is submerged in water signifying the death and burial of their old life, just as Christ was crucified and buried. The person is then raised out of the water, signifying Christ's resurrection and reflecting the believer being born again in Christ.
