God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. The Lord exists eternally in three persons. The Trinity consists of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal, and are one God. (Genesis 1:26-27; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter 1:2; 2 Corinthians 13:14)
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father and came to earth in the form of a baby, born of a virgin. Jesus lived a sinless life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins for all, by dying on a cross. He rose from the dead after three days, demonstrating His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven and will return again to reign as King and Lord. (Matthew 1:22-23, Isaiah 9:6-7, John 1:1-5; John 14, Hebrews 4:14-15; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, Romans 1:3-4, Acts 1:9-11, 1 Timothy 6:14-15, Titus 2:13; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)
The Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son. He is present in the world to make people aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He indwells every believer from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living and a spiritual gift to be used to advance the Kingdom of God. He also provides understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. The Christian should seek to live in step with the Spirit daily. (1 Corinthians 12:4-6; Romans 12:6-8; Ephesians 4:11-16; 2 Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13; 14:16-17, 26; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 2:10-16, 3:16, Ephesians 1:13; Ephesians 5:18; Galatians 5:25)
The Bible is the inspired Word of God. All Scripture is “God-breathed”. The authors were inspired by and carried along by the Holy Spirit of God. The Bible is the sole source of authority for the Christian and guides the believer to understand and follow the will of God. It is, “A lamp for my feet, and a light on my path” Psalm 119:105. (Psalm 19:7-12; Psalm 119:105-106; Proverbs 30:5; John 1:1, 14, 19:35, 20:31; 2 Timothy 4:2-4; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; Hebrews 1:1, 4:12; 2 Peter 2:20-21; 1 John 2:14)
Each person has a future eternity. People will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or in union with God, through forgiveness and salvation through Jesus Christ, God’s Son. Eternal separation from God happens in Hell. Eternal union with God occurs in Heaven. (John 3:16-18, 5:29; 1 John 2:25; 5:11-13; Romans 3:23, 5:8-9, 6:23, 10:9-10; Acts 2:38, 4:12; Revelation 20:15)
Every person has worth as a creation of God. God loves us because we were created by Him, in His image. At the same time, every person has chosen their own way. All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Forgiveness of sins and the promise of eternal life are available to those who trust Christ as Savior and Lord. Salvation is a gift from God to people. People can never make up for their sin by self-improvement or good works.
The Bible teaches that one receives God’s grace by putting faith in Christ, repenting of sin, confessing Christ as Savior and Lord. The Bible commands all Christians should be baptized by immersion. (Matthew 10:32; Luke 24:45-47; John 1:12, 3:16,14:6; Romans 3:23, 5:1-2, 8-9, 6:1-7, 23, 10:9-10; Acts 2:38, 3:19, 4:12,13:30; Galatians 3:26-27; Ephesians 2:8-9; Philippians 2:11; Colossians 2:12; Titus 3:5, 1 Peter 3:21; 2 Peter 3:9; 1 John 4:15)
Christians should come together regularly for the purpose of worshipping Jesus Christ and enjoy the fellowship that is a vital part of growing in faith, love and good deeds. We also believe Christians should strive to maintain unity as a value of Jesus Christ. (Psalm 150; John 17:20-26; Acts 2:42-47, 4:32; Ephesians 4:3, 11-16; Hebrews 10:24-25)
